Together in Care, bound by Courage, stronger through Connection
At Callington Primary School we live, learn and lead through our values. Our purpose is to equip students with the skills, knowledge and capability they need to learn, thrive and prosper as active, compassionate citizens.
Building strong trusting relationships with each other, our students and our families, is at the centre of our work. Developing resilient, responsible and effective learners who have the social and emotional skills to positively and confidently engage in learning and play is our aim, with the hope of being βthe best at getting better.β
A Welcome from our Principal
Welcome to Callington Primary School. I am so proud to lead this wonderful community.
We may be small in size, but we have big opportunities for students. Our staff care deeply about every child and are committed to helping them succeed as learners, community members and individuals.
Student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Strong relationships help children grow in confidence, resilience and positivity. We want our students to face challenges, imagine possibilities and see themselves as capable and successful.
As a public school, we prioritise literacy and numeracy, especially strong foundations in phonics and number skills in Reception to Year 2. Students also enjoy a broad curriculum including HASS, science, technology, health/PE, the arts and cultural studies.
I invite you to visit, meet us and experience what makes our school special.

Welcome to Country
We acknowledge this land that we meet on as being the traditional land of the Peramangk people. We would like to honour the Peramangk people and their history. We remember the Peramangk people as ochre warriors and firemakers, who were the first people to walk this land and leave their footprints under the concrete we now walk on.
We pay our respect to the Peramangk descendants, both past and present, their traditional customs and their attachment to the land.
